“The aesthetic redevelopment of the area and the desire to establish a new creativity incubator with the specific mission of generating a synergy between two not-so-distant worlds such as art and food”. These are the objectives of SKIN TaSTE, a project that every four months will involve a nationally and internationally renowned artist, inviting him or her to reinterpret the façade of PortoFluviale, a restaurant/pizzeria/cockteleria housed in a former 1920s warehouse in Rome’s Ostiense area.
The project kicks off tomorrow 12 December 2013, Porto Fluviale’s first anniversary, with the installation Fusion Color by Mariangela Levita, curated by Adriana Rispoli in collaboration with Incontri Internazionali d’Arte with the support of Banca Generali Private Banking. A work that “comes from the conceptual juxtaposition of the painter’s palette with the chef’s table, from the assimilation of colours to ingredients”. We went to have a sneak preview, discovering the dialogue that is created – in an area like the Ostiense, the gym of Capitoline Street Art – with the nearby large installation by Blu: here are the pictures
